Today we are joined by Linda Lee, Chief Marketing Officer at Campbell’s Meals & Beverages. Linda shares her non-traditional journey from an engineer at Procter & Gamble to CMO at Campbell’s. 

Now responsible for growing and modernizing Campbell’s iconic brands, Linda reflects on how patience can pay off in managing your career and how much she gained from pausing before pivoting to a new opportunity. 

Here are my top three takeaways from my conversation with Linda:

Start with the end in mind. If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there. Whether you are planning your next career move or persuading someone to buy your product, you need to identify what is required and plant the seeds to get the desired outcome.

Networking = Connecting.  Linda learned to embrace networking after she masterfully reframed it to be about connecting with people who have shared interests and passions.

Patience Pays. Before making a significant change, pause and consider what you have to be grateful for in your current situation, versus only focusing on what you want to change. Listen to the full episode to learn how this strategy transformed Linda’s career.
