In my experience working with Fortune 500 Leaders, although they often have a very clear vision of what they’d like to accomplish, they can find themselves stuck or distracted from what matters most to them and their teams.  To overcome the frequent obstacles leaders encounter,  I developed the Activate your Mojo VISION program.

At the core of this program is the VISION Framework – if you’re a long time reader or if you tuned in for Season Three of Mojo Mondays Bootcamp, you’ll know each of the six letters of VISION represent a foundational principle to Activate your Mojo. And it starts with having a clear understanding of what you want.

“V” stands for Visualize your Mojo Motive.

We must VISUALIZE the future we hope to create for ourselves. As the saying goes, ‘if you don’t know where you’re going, any road can take you there’. In order for the VISION Framework to serve you and your aspirations, we must start with the end in mind. You can call this a goal, a dream, an ambition, a north star – I personally call it my Mojo Motive. Once you have a clear VISION in mind, we can move forward.

When coaching teams through the Activate your Mojo Vision program, I challenge them to go big and be bold. However, what I love most about the VISION Framework is its scalability – if I were coaching an individual on this process of visualization, I would recommend having a more tactical aim.

For example, you could start by visualizing what will make this a great week for you.  What are your must haves? Who will you spend your time with? And, equally important, what things or people will you avoid as they will distract you or zap your energy from what matters most to you?

So whether you’re utilizing the Framework for personal development, team development, or in coaching opportunities, starting with a clear VISION is paramount. I would highly recommend listening to Episode 4 of Mojo Mondays Bootcamp Season Three for inspiration as well!

Next week I’ll be back in your inbox to tackle the second step of the VISION Framework – Interrupting your Inner Dialogue!
